Nota:
1. Brinell duritia: Maxime ad duritiem fusurarum, malleorum, malleoli, partium metalli non ferrearum metiebatur, schedulis calidis revolutis et partibus annecatis. Mensura spatium est ≥HB450.
2. Rockwell durities: HRA maxime adhibita est pro speciminibus altae duritiei ad metiendam superficiem duritiem materiae et superficierum duritiem quam HRC67 altiorem, ut carbide coagulo, ferro nitrido, etc. Mensura range est HRA>70. HRC maxime ad duritiem partium ferri (ut carbo carbonis, instrumentum chalybis, mixturae chalybis, etc.) metiri solebat, post extinctionem vel temperationem. Mensurae ambitus HRC20~67.
3. Vickers durities: ad duritiem partium tenuium et laminae ferreae partium metiebatur, atque etiam ad duritiem superficiei partium induratas metiebatur, ut carburizing, cyaniding, nitridere.
